    Sportspal canoe

I bought a Sportspal recently and even though it is highly stable, does anyone have an idea to make a couple of outriggers for it and how you might attach them? Thanks for any advice.

    Nebraska Upland Slam

Very nice. I would love to have a shot at quail once in my life. There are zero quail in Pa., unfortunately.

    Who's out this morning?

I had planned to goose hunt this morning, but with 50 mph wind gusts, I don't think I could set silhouette decoys that wouldn't flap around. We got a little snow this morning and the winds are supposed to die down a lot, so my plan is for tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is the last day our season is...

    Atlantic Brant hunt

My dream bird. Maybe some day I will get a crack at one.

    Question For Retired Hunters

After today' s hunt I question why I still do it as I'm really beat. Although I had great results, and even got a band (first one in 20 years), but the pick up and chasing after a wounded goose just about did me in. Last year I had major heart problems, diagnosed with CHF, and wound up with a...

    Damn What a Cold Snap

31 this morning here in NW Pa., up by Erie. Not nearly as much snow as they predicted but enough to drive the geese into the cut corn. Field hunting for honkers tomorrow morning, picked up a new farm the other day, which has corn as far as you can see, and there is a pond in the middle. 300...

    Remington Hypersonic

I've shot a variety of loads through my Mag-10 from super fast 1700 to 1250's back in the old days. Never had a problem with barrel damage. I used to get the fast loads from a place in Michigan, can't remember the name, but it didn't seem to make a difference in that gun. I couldn't begin to...

    Whatcha Listening To?

Go ahead and laugh if you want to but I've been listening to some Bee Gees. True they were the disco generation but they were so much more. Their voices were so pure and clear, not like the crap now days that is filtered and run thru a computer before you hear it. Those guys could really sing...

    Life's Greatest Challenges....

Fred, after a short adjustment period, you're going to love retirement. Took me a few months to realize I didn't have to face the grind anymore (hospital RN) and I haven't looked back as I retired when I was 62. I still get calls almost daily from agencies that have a great "travel nurse" job...

    Long line clips- too strong

I ditched the clips years ago and just tie my decoys to the mother line. Easier, and cheaper. Get Diamond Braid from Decoy Rigs. It's the best.

    Layout boats in Cleveland Ohio

Three layouts sitting around for the last 27 years and he wants 850? The well on those boats will cure you of ever wanting to get into layout boat hunting. If you're feet aren't comfortable and upright you get about 15 minutes before your begging for mercy. Maybe he meant $8.50 and got the...

    You Might Have Noticed...

Great video, and I love that you included the necktie on some of the shots. They got dressed up, even to duck hunt way back when.

    Layout boats in Cleveland Ohio

On FBM Cleveland Ohio, there are 2 layouts for sale that are a very unusual design. If you look closely at the last picture you can read the makers name on it, and if I'm reading it right it says John Kalash. If indeed these are/were his boats I have never seen anything like it. I'm not that...

    Marsh Seat Recommendations

Yes, when it's dry it falls right out, and you can dig it out no problem. They have it on eBay for 69.00. It's easy to adjust the height. surf n swamp seat is how it's listed. Probably had mine for 25 years at least so it's durable. The end is pointed so it is easier to put in the ground.

    Marsh Seat Recommendations

I like the looks of the Dive Bomb, but I'm not spending 125.00 to park my butt down. I'm still using my decades old Surf and Swamp seat. All plastic, light weight and "fat man tested".

    Duck dog

If you haven't looked at gundogbreeders.com you should check them out. I can't recommend anyone, but I want to warn you to stay away from the Lancaster Pa. area when getting a dog. That area of Pa. has the highest rate of puppy mills in the country. Three things in life that require you to get...
