    Obama's Gun Plan/U.S.Military FIRING ON U.S.CITIZENS!!

You're right. How crazy for me to worry. Our rights have not been rapidly eroding over the years and it has not sped up in the last 5 or so. My appologies.

    East Coast Trip..pic heavy

Nice trip and congrats on all the firsts. Even though I have my bucket list of "rare" birds for my area that many of you all shoot all the time it still amazes me how many people are after mergs. I guess we take the fish factories for granted.

NDR - What dark times for us NY'ers

I read a little of the law yesterday and it about made me sick. Our second amendment rights are in place to defend ourselves from our own govt if need be. It does not say what guns we can and cant own. It gives us the right to own similar firearms to what we might be faced with. If worst...

    some pintails and friends

We really dont have any numbers to get excited about. We have killed the not so common species when we get a little front. They dont stay long though and we are back to our limits.......of black ducks.

Do brant decoy to Canada decoys?

We have killed a limit of brant each time out and we dont own a brant decoy. We have had them swim into the goose spread and have decoyed as many as 20 this year. The goose stools will work but as the others said it helps to be where they want to be. As goes for any waterfowling.

    Decoy Bags ?

The Rogers small goose bags work very well for carrying them. If we arent running the big decoys they will hold two black ducks or even 3 birds to a slot if running gadwall or widgeon. We place them keel to keel in the slots and it works well.

    Something to think about.....

It made it through a sub comittee with no problem which is pretty scary. I read that it was killed today though. It makes me sick that something like this was even put to paper.

    Sea Duck hunting Camouflage

Nelson what part of the bay are you hunting? I have a feeling we hunt right across the bay from each other. We hunt out of my 22ft mako cc. We tried covering the boat and all the bright metal and had poor results. We took it all down and moved around the boat and killed birds again. The...

    Swan Hunt

Nice shooting Ben and great pics. I drew a tag here in VA this year but the only chance Ive had to kill one was the day before the season came in on them. We saw right many Monday so my hopes are still high. Just need to find that loner that doesnt have reservations elsewhere already.

Brain trust - Bridge steel support load question.... NDR!!!

If you make a diapragm connecting the two pieces of steel in the middle at maybe two locations it will help reduce deflection. You'll need to have the 8" leg verticle to do so, but it will be much stronger when both pieces are connected below the deck surface and can work together. Two small...

    Avery Killer weed

Dave I bought some of the winter wheat. Ive never had any of the tan colors. I bought it to blend in with out winter wheat fields for hiding the layout blinds. Ive used it the past two years and it has held up well for me. I cut it into 6-8 inch lengths and zip tied it to clothes pins to...

    The "good" wife!

Thats great man. My wife tells everyone that Im absolutely eat up with waterfowling and fishing. She's about right too. We were talking the other day before the storm as we picked up the 18 wheeler load of toys around the side yard. A flock of geese were heading towards us over the creek...

Hiding a sneakbox in a cypress swamp

Tom. I heard this morning that central VA got a good frost. Its a good time to cut some cedar and it will last a god while. Most of the guys I hunt with up that way use the camo netting and add natural vegetation. Fast grass is the last thing you want to use if you're not in a marsh. It...
