    Any Alducks.com members here?

I hope the police are better than the ones around here. My vehicle was broken into several years ago and had thousands stolen as far as electronics, CD's, cell phone, and tools. After it was broken into there was a phone call made from my phone only minutes after and it was traced back to an...

    Alabama Opener

It truly is a sight to see at all the idiots we have the first few weeks of season. There is one boat ramp that is always packed, at 7:00 on Thanksgiving night before the opener there were over 70+ trucks parked along this one ramp. I consider myself very lucky to have the lake we have and the...

    Alabama Opener

Let's just say if you have never been to a circus, come duck hunting in Alabama on the first split opener! Our first split opened up on Friday the 23rd and there have been people camping out to save a spot since Monday 11/19. Pretty much you are going to have to at least get out there the night...

    TDB under new ownership

Don't know if this would be possible, but I would love to see a 16' BlackJack. I loved the one I had but limited my hunting is several occasions if I wanted to carry another gunner and a large spread.

    Prediction Verified

I agree with you Carl. I have not seen this many birds this early in years. I watched hundreds to thousands of gadwalls and divers pour in over the weekend. Needless to say it got my blood pumping just a little :)

    Hurricane Sandy

Everyone along the East Coast stay safe! I can't imagine having to deal with that like some of y'all have. Material things can be replaced.

    Coots

I'm a little further north than Carl, but it is like clockwork every year around the second week in October the coots start showing up and then the gads are not too far behind them. We had large rafts of coots show up on the 11th this year, there are hundreds of them grouped up on the grass mats...

    Girls first gun

Might want to consider one of the Maverick 88 20 gauge pumps. They're a little cheaper than the Mossberg and have better stock than the Mossberg's for some reason considering they are made by the same company. That's what my girlfriend is shooting and she has become pretty deadly with it. You...

What is your special goal for the season?

I have a few 1. Have a safe and successful trip along the East Coast. 2. We're going to try and get a 25 man limit on all drake bluebills in one day. 3. Try and kill as many species as possible while on my trip. 4. Put some folks on some GE's. 5. Get a pair of Blackducks for the...

    Pole Barn Construction

Stretch it out another 10' each way. Depending on size of everything you are putting in the parking area I would consider switching it around and making the shop 36x40.

    Question on Coot...

If we didn't have coots our duck hunting would be a 1,000x easier. Hard to compete with thousands upon thousands of coots, if our group puts a out a big spread for divers there's normally a gross of coot decoys out along with the diver deeks. But they do mike mighty fine tacos and fajitas.

    Geese

Since this is by far the most helpful and informative duck hunting forum, I figured I would start here. I am looking to harvest Specklebellies, Snows, Blues, and Ross geese all in one trip. What state or outfit would be my best shot at achieving this goal? I have several friends who have places...

Camo umbrella or other such device

Buy one of those and find you a piece of neoprene or any other camo material and sew a sleeve onto the back of your waders. That makes it a little more complicated..LOL

Camo umbrella or other such device

Just buy a camo umbrella and rig up a holder in the boat. That way you can take it down and pack it away easily. I have one from BassPro that I use and normally just put the handle down the back of my waders or prop it up and when you raise up to shoot it just falls backwards.
