Eric, I zoomed in on the photo and it appears the swivel slide is rotated 180 degrees and there were two studs inserted into either side of the top slide. I think the beveled clamps are t shaped to aid in alignment with the side and top of the top slide casting. I am basing my guess on the...

I followed Steves advice and made/installed thumbcleats for the lower corner of the sprayshield.

Capt, I just tied the line there until I purchase some screw eyes. I am taking inspiration from photos of other spray shields like the Carl Adams Gunning Garvey photo that Capt Bob posted.

Should a spray shield have snaps that attach all the way to the oar locks or do the snaps end by the forward cockpit coaming and then tied to eyes on the oar locks? First try at sewing a spray shield for the widgeon. Thanks, Rick Lathrop
