The best part about seeing these pics, is that I actually get to see what the duck looks like flying, instead of trying to figure out lead of a bird traveling left to right at 15 yards going 50 mph, lol. Excellent pics Hitch, hopefully we can get together again next year!! Dave

Hey Todd, I built a Busick as well a few years back and if it wasn't for me being smaller framed, I would have gotten rid of it, because it does get uncomfortable after a while. I to enjoy dragging it out to the lake and sitting where the ducks are, not being on the bank or an island...

Yeah, my bad, I got it confused with my scull boat, which is a Burdick. The Busick boat does cramp my feet, so I'd put a drop in the bottom, or raise the deck a little if I were to build another one.

Yeah, I'm still waiting on a good Pinnie myself. You heard right, and I'm gonna belly up to it Friday as well. Got some new dekes in the mail!!!!

I built a Burdick type, and it works great, just a bit cramped. I hunted out of a couple UFO's and they are great, lots of room and fairly light in weight. Never hunted a MLB layout, but heard they were great as well. Good luck on your purchase, hunting out of those things is great fun. Dave

Thanks guys, I can't wait to go back!! I could've stayed in that layout boat for days shooting "at" the Squaw! Those buggers are hard to hit, and are tough as nails. The camera is just an old, handheld digital fuji, no big deal. The pic would have been better if I had a tripod. Dave

Went to Delaware to hunt with my buddy John Wolzak(sp?) for a few days. We were supposed to go Eider hunting in RI first, but it got cancelled due to bad weather and a lack of birds. We hunted ducks and geese the first few days because of bad weather, then went to the bay for some Old Squaw...

Just make your own by using that "dip it" stuff you put on tool handles. Very easy.

Sorry to hear about the messed up mount, I know I would be upset. If the taxidermist doesn't know what color eyes should be on a bird, he/she doesn't need to be mounting anything! Sounds like you need a new taxidermist no matter what.
