    Some neat stuff

Interesting decoy, I've never seen one like it. That's a classic gunning box popular with skiff hunters in central Wisconsin. Last I heard Ron is still paddling around his stomping grounds though age has slowed him down.

A question for the hunt dog brain trust

Over many years and many dogs the one med that has always worked is called Panalog Ointment. The generic version is Quadritop. Has never failed to clear up my dogs ears

    For bow hunters

Yes Al, you remember correctly. All three of us took 6x6 bulls that year.

    For bow hunters

Over 22 archery seasons I've helped pack out 8-10 elk on my back up to 2 miles in. A couple of mine and the rest, hunting buddies. The best was the last bull that I got in 2015. He expired up hill and only 30 yds from the road.

    Hang time is important IF

I tend to agree Dave but apparently rabbits aren't the savages we are[cool]

    For bow hunters

That's a dandy, hope it's not too far from the road. I leave Sunday for my elk bowhunt in SW Colorado.

    Hang time is important IF

Pretty cool Al, right place, right time and recognizing a special moment - congratulations on a fun story. Bunnies are abundant in my yard this summer too. Since I haven't had a garden in a couple of years I haven't taken any control measures either. For the first time, my neighbor is...

    New friends

This post from Bowsite web site is probably the most graphic snake bite story I've read. It's quite long with all the replies. https://forums2.bowsite.com/tf/bgforums/thread.cfm?threadid=477900&messages=9&forum=36

    an origin question

Dani, I just found 5 pages of supporting threads after searching "stump dance" starting in Feb 2007 but no origin so it had to have started on the old forum. Lots of snickering and wink-winking though.

    an origin question

Carl, that was Travis Bruce, a classic story teller - wish he was still posting here. Your memory is the same as mine. I don't recall the exact bantering but the cast of characters and time of year are correct.

    Dumb question

Great story Dani, hadn't heard that one before. That sounds like something Steve would do. 👍

    Dumb question

Interesting concept. I'd think ducks would be attracted to colors that represent basic needs such as breeding, food and safety. In addition to colors it'd likely also be movement or lack of same.

Lights for Setting Decoys in the Dark and...

Larry, When I set long lines it's very rare to set up in the dark. Just not necessary. As you know, divers don't start moving until way after first light giving you plenty of time to set your rig. On the rare occasion when I need to set in the dark it's head lamps + a spot light at the ready...

    DP-40/401 or ?

No reason to use a shotgun on a mosquito Dave when a flyswater works just as well.[cool]

    DP-40/401 or ?

After finding DP 40 on ebay for $135/qt kit it's on to look for regular auto primer. The primer shouldn't be the most expensive part of this project - sheeesh

    DP-40/401 or ?

I agree Eric. I've never seen anything like it either. My project is a 2ft x 7ft section of floor in my Lund that will see foot traffic of course. Tod, thanks for your input.

    DP-40/401 or ?

15-20 years ago we were using dp-40/401 epoxy primer with great success. Is it still preferred and available? No, not a new boat, fixing up a current one.
