Yep, that'll do it. I had a car battery get extremely low one time. The only indication was that it started to smell like chicken frying - seriously! Found out from someone that it's an indication that your battery is almost cooked and you better do something about it ASAP.

I've never actually timed it. I usually know in advance if I'm going to need it so I take it out of the freezer at least several hours before hand. Of course it depends on the ambient temperature. I've also put the tube in warm water to speed up the thawing process.

With 10 doz total that's probably enough GE. When I target them I like 3 doz split into two groups plus an equal number of other diver dekes. I'll see what kind of cookies I have time for.

Phil, More often than not, GEs will only commit when you have GE decoys deployed. Particularly if they are in a flock. Singles or pairs may come in to any diver decoys cause they just want company but not flocks. They are a unique bird in a lot of ways and have become my favorite of all...
