    Atlantic Brant study, very cool.

Suddenly Brant just became much more desirable to target this year haha

    More safety worries

When I?m hunting alone (majority of my hunts) I share my location on my phone with a friend and check in when I?m heading back to the ramp.

    More safety worries

Keeping yourself in good physical shape and knowing you limitations is an important part too. Had a friend a few years ago go out on a solo hunt. Decided to try and wade in a mud creek and sank up to stomach. He was about 300lbs and couldn?t pull himself back into the boat. Had to get rescued.

    Navigation app...

I use Navionics. Some of my runs out into the bay are full of sandbars. So I plot a course and use my phone to help keep my bearing on where I?m at.

    Devlin boat I think it's a bluebill?

Josh, I was scanning the posts and came across this. Sorry to see the boat was farther down the drain but than I/we had thought!! Decent design but poor craftsmanship I suppose. I?ll be at the Tuckerton show next weekend with my sneakbox, come stop by

    Duck movement in salt marshes

Love this topic and love reading everyone?s opinions. I?d like to hijack the thread for a moment though. What do you guys like to do when the tides are against you? What do you like to look for when conditions are less than ideal?

    Base layers...Merino wool

I wear a wool cabelas sweater most of the late season with a hoodie pulled over it. If it gets really cold I’ll have a thermal on under it all. I’ll gladly spend $200 or less on a nice wool sweater than $500+ on Sitka or something of the like. I actually just went old school and picked up...

    Maine Vacation NDR

My in-laws have a house in Bar Harbor and we go every summer to visit. Bar Harbor itself is very touristy, however Acadia National Park is right there and a MUST see! I make it a point to visit the national park every time even though I’ve seen it so many times. Along with a drive to the top...

    Sneakbox Build

Phew tough one, I’ll have to ask him for an exact answer. I’m going to guess early to mid 1980’s though.

Confidence decoys...who uses them and what do you prefer for field and water sets

I was using a great blue heron decoy this season and placed it next to me. I dropped the post for it in the water though and that was the end of that for now haha

    Sneakbox Build

I’ve been pretty fortunate I’d say. To bend it back I heated it up some with a torch and beat it with a hammer using a piece of 2x6 under the blade as to keep it straight. Took it out today and did great. Put two black ducks on the boat too!

    Sneakbox Build

Amen!! Or they shear off inside to save the lower unit, which is fine and dandy but now you can’t get home! I went home and bent her back. I do need to have a spare onboard though.
