    The Ghost Lab story

I can't remember the exact details but looking for a story that went something like : 1. Owner abused a big black lab somewhere around the NE shoreline. 2. The dog swam out for a duck in heavy fog and waves and never came back. 3. Locals reported seeing a dog over the years on an isolated...

Its always cool seeing innovation and specialized designs in the world of duck hunting rigs which makes this site a pleasure to be a part of again. After owning about every type of rig around, minus the BBSB, I homed myself in this girl some 10 years ago. The motor should give you some...

My intro, my cause and some blocks I restored.

Gotcha, those are actually feather details from the original mold cast. Oddly , termites, I assume formosans, had abused a few of these in the most stubborn of attempts to eat the entire block.

Great Article on Ducks, Prairie Pothole Wetlands, and the Clean Water Act.

Thank you , I can definitely agree with his thoughts. Sadly the writing is on the wall ( or is it?) and it doesn't look much better as populations increase exponentially. Even more so fearful is that those that are linked to American heritage, conservation and hunting are quickly being forced...

    When to say when

Teeth are made not only for chewing but for grinding. I am sure you have done some of that grinding and I hope you will continue to do so. Like you I am no prance the gunnel or bounce rock to rock kind of guy any longer but I now find pleasure in bossing some youngsters around in how to set the...

    A little chilly this morning

I have hunted in -8 and it wasn't pleasant for one skinny second. Have jostled around in plenty cooler. It always amazes me how livestock and horses can roll with the temps down into the -40s in the Gunny basin.
