    Devlin’s Mallard Build

Shawn, You will love the Wetlander. Have used it on both of my duck boat builds. There is not a better product in my opinion for amateur builders such as myself. As many others have testified, it is tough as any finish out there and using only a lowly paint roller it delivers professional...

Has anyone steam bent wood on this forum?

White oak for cockpit combing. Gentle curves such as you describe the use uf a heat gun is sufficient. I think using screws would induce less localized stress than using straps or lead shot bags. Maybe drilling a larger hole, filling it with epoxy and tapping it later for the desired screw would...

    Copycat

Another great idea added to the brain trust! JPG 6171 is a great way to brush in your boat. Would you mind sharing the type of foliage used? Looks like cattails, which is what we have to work with where I hunt. Richard

Good to be back - The Broadbill's 22nd season

Not too many details to share. I made a couple of alterations to Devlin's plans based on several reports by members that it paddled better stern first so a keel/skeg was added. Secondly I disagreed with Devlins notion that pool noodles would provide adequate flotation so I choose sealed...

Good to be back - The Broadbill's 22nd season

Brian, Do you find the grass rails useful? I am almost finished with Devlin's Poleboat and have grass rails made, but a considering just using bungee cord around the perimeter of the cockpit instead. Richard

Hi Champ. Biggest mistake I ever made was waiting until I was 56 years old to get a dog. Have fun!!

    I Need to Vent

Option two, but keep your runs short or clothes will take forever to dry!

    Wader update

Like you I have never been satisfied with a pair of waders. That is until I tried High n Dry. Nothing fancy, price reasonable and durable. As close to ankle fit as you are going to find in a cold water wader. Definitely give them a try.

    Hand built wooden boat

Not sure of value, but a different color would make it more attractive to buyers.

Once Again, the Rules: This is not Craigslist.

Just out of curiosity, where are the rules? I have looked on this website and can not find them listed anywhere.

    Waders - The usual question

I can personally vouch for HighnDry waders.

More Canada Restrictions Against US Hunters

I live in Minnesota where ther are few ducks but good fishing. Our state allows nonresident anglers to fish year long and without a guide. I always thought it would be a good bargaining chip to arrive at a reciprocity agreement with North and South Dakota for similar hunting privileges for its...

    READ THE RULES

My name is Richard Anderson and am a relatively new member of this blog (I believe that is the correct term). I recently read the post regarding classifieds and am somewhat put off. Perhaps I am too reserved or perhaps I don't particularly like to blow my own horn but I would much rather hear...
