    NDR rod wrapper

That should work fine.My friend had a power wrapper that i used at his shop but most the time i just turned the rod by hand.I found that turning it by hand was better for me and produced a better looking wrap.He could make great wraps with power but i just didn't use it enough to get good at it...

    building two broadbills

I have been thinking about building a broadbill myself(for about 2 years).Just got two new properties to hunt on the shore that would be perfect for the broadbill.Where did you get your ply from? I know clc in annapolis sells it and i think harbor sales in Suddlersville does.Hope to see more...

Anyone dealt with Jeep heater problems...

There are a couple things i have seen with heating issues on Libertys.Worst case are blend doors or actuator. The other is to check to see if you have orange(dex cool) coolant in it.I have seen it jell up in heater cores. You can check to see if both heater hoses are hot,if not you probably have...

Totally NOT Duck Related, Transmission diagnosis?

If it has the cd4e trans. in it they can be expensive to rebuild. Most common problems are torque converter failures and failures in the direct and forward clutch assemblies.I used to be a Ford transmission tech and u did good if you made it to 150,000 with that transmission. If the torque...

    Thanks Duckboats.net

I would like to thank everyone on the forum. While it was one of the slowest seasons I can remember on the eastern shore,it was one of the most rewarding. With the lack of birds this year on our lease,I decided to try some seaduck hunting on the chesapeake.I haven't seaduck hunted in 20 some...

Making scoter sleds - a rough tutorial...

I must say thanks for a great tutorial.I made a set for scoters during the off season. Finally got to use them last Saturday on the Chesapeake.Took ten minutes after set up for the first surf scoter to pitch in right over them, just wish I would of gotten a pic.Birds were coming into them and my...

    Waterfowler drowned

You are right Mark, the tidal Potomac can turn bad fast.I average close to 300 hours a year on that river, and it can turn bad quickly.

When you know you should pull the trigger...

Just remember its more rewarding to see um dump air and lock up.Geese are some pretty tough birds,I prefer at least 3" BB and 30 yards or less when shooting steel.

    Stranded....and some Duck Jerky......

Well i have never got stranded by the tide.I must admit,me and my buddies have used it as an excuse to the wives why we were out all day when it was supposed to be just a morning hunt.It doesn't work like it used to.

    Foggy day hunt

great job.I personally love hunting in the fog, nothing like having a bird suddenly appear locked up dropping into the dekes.

Question on new vehicle to haul duck boat

I have a dodge 1500 5.7 hemi quad cab 4x4 that gets 17.5 mpg around town and 15 towing my 20' polarcraft.Even with 33" tires it drives like a car.Of course that is driving easy on it,if your heavy on the foot you can bring the fuel mileage down fast.

    Scoter hunt vid

That is a great video.I'm ready for the season, its going to be a long summer. The wife is going to be mad when I bring home some more decoys.

    boat transfer

If you lower the front trailer jack as low as it will go and place blocks at both sides of the transom. Then raise the jack up,the stern should lift up.Then jack up the boat from towards the bow and place blocks under it.Slide the trailer forward until you come to a cross member or axle then jack...

Do you need to jack up the truck to change shocks?

It depends on the truck. If it is shocks, you do not have to lift because shocks are not load bearing. On some coil spring and torsion bar vehicles with shocks you have to have pressure on the lower control arms(on the ground or stands under the arms) because the shocks keep them dropping.Hopefully...
