Mud motors dont like rocker.I glassed in shims to give me some lift.It runs on plane at 15 mph with a hunting load and dog.I left the keels off the bottom so a could run shallow .A mud motor isnt optimal for a devlin boat .The ducks are in the shallows and i cant get to them w an ouboard.
I run a backwater swomplite on my broadbill.I originally had a copperhead surface Drive but it didn't like the hull. Also glassed in shims to give her a little lift.
