Looking for your Input on these two boats. I just rigged a buddies boat 15ft Duck Boss with a 40hp Tohatsu, 4 stroke. Boat rides great, very solid, 30mph fully loaded, 3 guys.
The other one 17ft Sea Class with a 60hp, 4 Stroke. Never Been in the 17ft. Was wondering how that boat rides. Who likes what better. Also hunt marshes and Creeks. Puddle ducks and sometimes divers. Never really open water. Looking for the Comfort Factor.
Let me Know Thanks
PS I love the Duck Boss. Just Ordered More

I have been running my DB15 for 13 years and have never had a problem with the boat. I have run this hull with 5 different motors, currently a 30hp e-tec which is enough to run the boat efficiently. CI prefer the 15 because it is easier to hide, move in water too shallow to run, turn around in small creeks, and it can run on plane is as little as 8" of water. In my opinion, if you don't run out the inlet to hunt open water you don't need the extra size. You can hunt three out of the 15 more out of the 17, really depends in how you hunt. By the way DB makes a 17.

Thats what I'm thinking, the 15DB will hide better then the 17TDB. I built a 15DB with flapper style grass rails. Hides about 2 feet lower then the blind. Im looking to move up from my 14ft TDB classic. Want better ride and more comfort.

Steve ,
db15 is a solid boat ,well built. I used mine for marsh hunts and diver hunt .. It rides well with 30hp on and it's well balanced meaning no extra weight on the transom of boat when push it on the mud ..if you have to move it .it hides very well ,for our area on the south shore that's the boat you need for the type of hunting you are looking for .. If you wold like to try it let me know .
