1998 DU article - MacQuarrie

Does anyone have a May/June1998 DU magazine and be willing to copy the article on 3 gents that searched out Gordon MacQuarrie's hunting grounds mentioned in his Old Duck Hunter's Association writings? Will also try DU archives, but no luck in my initial attempts.

Tom - I know that I have that DU issue. Where it is (since I moved) involves a many boxes treasure hunt, but I will try. From what I recall it was a very good article.

Dean Dashner may have copy, if not, he may be able to steer you in the right direction.
 
Not only do I have that story somewhere I intend to go visit. I will go visit next year, I got as close as the public access on the lake but ran out of time. I spend a lot of time in that corner of Wisc. each fall and will go find the spots in the stories. A buddy happens to know the family and we are desciples of the ODH Inc. If you don't find a connection to the article I will gladly help you out.

Read the trilogy every year before duck season. Wish I would have had a mentor/tormentor like Mr President when I started hunting.
 
thanks everyone...as I recall the visit written about was bittersweet - great to be able to pin down the locations, sad to see some become developments. Looking forward to being able to read it again.
 
I remember that article, it was very interesting.
I wish I still had it, but all my magazines for recycled when I last moved in 2005.
