2 BBSB's on a double trailer

Dear Kirk,

Beautiful boats, and a nice job on the trailer!

I noticed you are looking for a matching color for your spray shield. I suggest you contact your supplier about Sunbrella. They offer a color called Taupe that should do a great job on the boat. That's what we're using on the Chuck Huff (please see pic).

We did a mod on this trailer ala' Steve Sutton's recommendation, and I haul two Chuck Huffs or one and my ZT Wigeon on it.

I think you'll like the Sunbrella. A great product for marine applications.

God Bless you and yours,

Mark

Thanks for the comments Mark. I appreciate it. I'll look up that sunbrella material. I got a swatch the other day of a different color, but it was even further off.

That's a neat looking boat and trailer. I assume that's a double PWC trailer?

Take care,

Kirk..great job on both the boats and the trailer! I've really been trying to think outside of the box for a carrying rack that will accomodate a layout boat on the back of the Hellcat and that just might give me some ideas :) Its too much weight on the front of the boat for my liking.

Again, great job.

Brad

Why didn't you make that top part of the trailer pivot or hinge down? If the guy is hunting in a tidal area he might have a problem loading that top boat.

Mike

Thanks Brad! Feel free to use whatever ideas you can. If you need any sketches or closer pictures give me a yell.

Mike-

For simplicity sake and weight, we just went with a roller on the top. In knee deep water the boat scoots right up on the top just by winching it. With VERY little help from a second guy we were able to pick the top boat up off of the floor of our shop, which is obviously the worse case scenario.

And like I said above if you're hunting by yourself and there's ankle deep water at the ramp.... then use the bottom boat!

Thanks.

Very nice! I Ordered paint from Lou (Lock Stock and Barrel) and will be painting mine in a Natgear camo, ordered the material from natgear and had it shipped to Diane at custom decoy bags for spray shield fabrication. I'm also looking for a tandem jet ski trailer so I can haul 2 BBSB. I like your idea but we don't always have that kind of water at low tide. Great post and thanks for sharing.

Dear Kirk,

You are most welcome, my friend. This stuff really holds up well, too.

Yes, the trailer is a double wide PWC. We sell EZ Loaders, and this is their model for large PWCs. Even still, we had to stagger the elevations on the two boats to narrow the width. Two boats at 54" beams side by side wasn't working.

God Bless you and yours,

Mark

David-

Thanks.

We wanted to do a tandem (side by side) model, but our customer was more concerned with space in his garage over the height of the second boat.

Like I mentioned above, we have a tandem PWC trailer for ourselves coming that we're going to modify like this one so we can haul 4 boats at once. We usually hunt with 3 guys (and boats), plus going to shows we usually have more than that.

Take care,

Kirk, I know what you mean about width. I'll probably have to expand the fenced in area and expand the gate to accommodate the rig. Boats trailers ect ect are to be behind fences in our community.
