Okay everyone here is the 3rd annual mini decoy swap, hope to see some new names and birds in the swap this year and the familiar ones too.

Decoy mini swap

Dates: November 5th- December 5th
Try to Ship by December 12th

The rules:
1. must be carved out of normal decoy material (wood, cork, foam, wire/canvas, etc....)
2. Bird can be in a swimming or standing pose and can be in a regional style (crab pot buoy, Currituck style, bobtail, etc...)
3. Must be no longer than 4? in any direction (excluding bases/mounts)
4. Can be any waterfowl, shorebird, or bird that one would use decoys for.
5. Can only post completed birds that you carved unless posting for someone who is not computer savvy

How it works:
1. Anyone can post as many birds as they want once the swap starts until the end date.
2. Once you post a completed bird that earns you a ?swap ticket?
3. At the time of the deadline I will take all the names and put them in a hat and draw names and specific bird posted in pairs
4. I will post the listings on the thread and those people send their birds to each other
5. So if you enter multiple birds you will swap with multiple people

This a fun way to get us motivated to carve something different and to gift and receive birds from friends across the country(s).

Everyone is welcomed to join no matter what skill level you are (believe me the first few I did were terrible) so no judgement.

Try to ship them by December 12th so the people receive them by Christmas.

The deadline will be here before you know it, get those minis made and posted up and ready for swapping.

Ben, very nice swan, if this stands as is with six decoys, my thought would be to have Stephen and I swap one decoy since we both have 2 and then draw for the other 4 between the four of us. You could also draw between my two to see which Stephen would get. Just my thought and thank you for keeping this going. Somewhat disappointing that there aren't more people that got involved, a fun little project to do each year that doesn't take a great deal of time.

Bob,
Good advice and is what I did.

So here is the list of who ships what to who.
Bob: black duck - Stephen: teal
Bob: coot - Ben: swan
Mark: teal - Stephen: teal

All the birds look great everyone, now time to ship them out and plan for next year. Hope everyone has a great Christmas.
