9 confirmed sniper kills in less than 30 minutes!

How you feeling girl, better I hope. I try my best at neck shooting my deer to save meat damage, but since ya don't eat ground squirrels......I shoot them anywhere I can hit them criiters.

I know about the turkeys over in Evans Valley where the folks live. There are so many in that area you see them run over on West Evans Creek Rd. often, just like you do around here.

I have several hens with young here by the ponds everyday. One long bearded Tom is here at the house all day long. He's the one I posted pic's of admiring himself in the chrome bumpers on my van & truck. Crazy bird.

You are spot on.........I have blackberrys all over here. Up by the shop there are ripe ones ready to pick that are wild and the rows of them in the garden have been coming on for the past two weeks. As soon as my friends Blueberries are ripe (pretty soon) we are going to make up a thing his wife calls "Berry Cake". She puts blackberrys, blueberrys and rasberrys on top a pan of cornbread that has some of the berrys cooked into it. I have plenty of blackberrys and rasberrys and they have a quarter acre of blueberrys.

From now to september I tend to eat a lot of blackberrys as I ride around teh place on the ATV as well as Judy making the occasional blackberry cobbler and forcing me to partake of it warm with french vanilla ice cream......I only do it so I won't hurt her feelings ofcouse :^)

This evening I BBQ'ed a ract of pork ribs and afterwards I put all the bones (ribs) in a pan, sat them on one of the patio tables, turned the porchlight on so we could watch the our two Grey Fox jump up on the table and eat the ribs..........it drives our cat crazy to watch those foxes. Never a dull minute here in thepplegate Valley.

YA, you were supposed to come out and help me carry all these gold nuggets, fact is....with all that's been going on around here, Judy and I have not even gone back down to Carberry Creek with teh sluice box this summer. Judy mentioned tonight about us going over to the coast next week for a few days and get some Dungies to boil up. We'll either go to Brookings or Coos Bay, I'll leave that up to her. All I know is that come the end of September I'm heading back to Montana for a month of hunting and looking at property.

How's Dani doing, the new job must be keeping here busy?

Dave

Dani's doing alright. Keeping somewhat busy. The job....eh...well it's a job. My boss has pretty much given up on trying to make me wear closed toed shoes. From day 1, he's been fightin' it as he says. Won't win that war. But I'm not wearing flipflops to work, like some of the other 'staff assistants' do. And he's also weakening on the jeans issue. Heck...at least they're nice jeans...no holes or stains in them. My bossman has been sending me to training, to keep me busy probably, but it's been interesting. One was about Mexican drug trafficking organizations and another was about ways to combat gangs. Interesting stuff, but not really pertinent to my position.

I've been keeping somewhat busy at home, helping my dad roof and painting up what will be my new bedroom. I'll be putting flooring down this weekend in that room. I'm glad I'm not at the pool anymore, especially from the horror stories I'm hearing from my brother and my partner in crime. The only big thing I miss is my tan :) the sailors... no great loss usually...well...there's some good lookin' guys here too.

I can't wait for the hunting seasons to get here. I was able to pull another muzzleloading permit (deer, turky, hog) this year for Raiford...I am getting to know that area as well as one can considering the only time you're allowed on the property is when it's hunting season. Hopefully, I'll be able to head out there for some good hunting. Heck, I'm 1/4 of the way there when i come into work...just bring my stuff with me to work and leave and go out to the woods. Then there's marsh rat season that opens on 1 sept...a saturday and the biggest tide of the month. Steve, you're welcome to come down and hunt em up with me :) Then early teal season probably about 22-26 of Sept. Man o man....can't wait for the fall. But til then....I'm helping to destroy my house :)

Sounds like you have a full schedule girl! I'm starting to get anxious for hunting season too. Good that you are winning over your boss to the facts of life....dress code wise. Nothing worse than having to wear a tie and have polished shoes or in your case wearing a dang dress and heels....YUCK!

Solving the Mexican drug and gang problem is simple to my way of thinking, if you cathc them in the act, exicute them on the spot and put them in a dumpster..........job finished!

Whe we get setteled in Montana, you'll have to come up and spend some time hunting with us. This year we pland to be there for 4-6 weeks (2 weeks was way to short last year). We may head there as early as Sept. 15th so we can look at several properties in the central part of the State.

Rick Ketcham and his son will arriove on Oct. 1st. and we'll hook up and head for N/E Montana to shoot duck and geese for a week before we start upland bird hunting. I want to spend some time on the Milk River again this year. This time I want to shoot some video of the whitetails and mule deer. I'm really looking forward to the trip this year.

Glad you got drawn for the B.P. hunts again, this may be your year to bag a deer and some hogs as well as a turkey....cool!

Hang in there and drop me a line now and again.

Dave
