This thanks has been a long time coming.
I wanted to get my son something special to congratulate him for getting his first turkey. It was a GREAT morning and we both will be telling this story for years to come.
Steve, from North Bay Game Calls, was able to help me in getting Kyle that "extra special" gift. I emailed Steve the pic of Kyle holding his turkey and ask him to put it on a glass call for Kyle. After playing around with the resolution a bit, we seemed to get the pic clarity dialed in. Steve even had Kyle's name and the date of his harvest engraved on the call as well. A very nice touch!! The call is so nice that Kyle doesn't want to scratch up the glass in order to use it. "It's my other trophy Dad"
Well, Steve is going to help me out again. I am sending him a feather from the bird and he is going to press it between two pieces of glass and make another glass call for Kyle that he will actually hunt with.
Steve, thank you again. I wish that you could have been there when I gave it to Kyle. I brought him out on the back patio and had a little talk with him. I told him how proud of him that I was. We talked about respect, honesty and character. I teach all of my children to be respectful - first and foremost. I tell them that you may not like some people and they may not like you but they will always say that you are a respectable person. I truly believe that respect is the ONLY thing that you cannot buy in this world. You can "buy" some friends, love and material items but people will never respect you unless you earn it. Once you lose it, it is very hard to get back.
Once I gave Kyle the call, his whole face lit up and he was like OOOOOOHHHHHH. NICE!!!
Beautiful work
