A bit of history...

Hi Steve - none in paint yet, sorry. Maybe in about a month after the coating dries really well I'll have some done. The heads are foam-sandwich over a hardboard center with apoxy sculpt bills.


Still lots to learn ... havin' a ball.

Found this photo, Looks like the same blocks. Glad you were able to get them. 30 years ago I had a Barber broadbill - oval shaped with the stub tail - similar to the drawing. Now I wish I had kept it.

Same decoys Joe. They were also used in an article by Gene Kangas in Decoy Magazine a few years ago. Barber had a friendship with Michigan decoy collector Lee Smits. Barber also had a fancy for Nate Quillen decoys. One can clearly see the Michigan influence in Barber's decoys. Barber also attend the Pointe Mouillee Decoy Show and served as a judge.
