A different sea duck mount

After last December's trip to Maine I kept 3 birds for mounting and although I have had them back since July it took me until the split in the duck season to finally get the mount display assembled.
I always strive for something different or something I have yet to see in my mounts.
I purchased the pilings from a local wood shop that happened to store them outside so the weathered look was already present. I manufactored the weathered look on the rest of the wood by applying a vinegar and steel wool mixture. I still have a few novelties to add to the display like the framed band certificate and a few bouys and crab nets. I plan on adding more species of sea ducks to this as they are rewarded to me. The current college room set-up keeps things a little cramped but this set-up will always be a great reminder of my first trip to Maine, now only 2 1/2 months till I go back!

Hope everyone is having a fun and safe start to the season.

That is one fine mount!
Your college room must have more space than the efficiency I rented at Auburn, that setup wouldhave taken up 1/2 the kitchen/dining/living room!
