A Little Blood in the New Boat

Guys,
Last Friday I picked up my new to me Old Town 119. Today I took her out in the second split of our marsh hen season. The boat works! The tide never reached a height that covered the spartina but it was still enjoyable and effective to paddle through the grass and flush a few birds. The pics show a variety of views of the South Carolina salt marsh. A satisfying day!

That is a type of hunting I would love to try sometime! Thank you for sharing those pictures and I'm glad the boat worked for you.

So if the boat doesn’t exist, do the birds exist? Or did you tell the wife about the new boat? Looks beautiful Larry.

Looks like a satisfying place to spend the day, Larry. Bet the canoe was perfect.

Seeing your posts reminds me that I'll have to break out my copy of the "Blessing of the Fleet" soon. It's that time of year again.

Mark,
My wife and I loaded some backyard trash into my truck this afternoon. The truck was parked right next to the new canoe which was leaning on the old canoe which was leaning on the kayak. She always observes every new store we pass by. I gave her every opportunity to observe the new canoe. NADA.

Surely I wasn't supposed to say, "Wow! Look at that new canoe!?"

:)

Sounds like a local newspaper columnists rules. He says if you buy something new, hide it in plain site and after 3 days the item is not
noticed by the spouse, it is no longer new and you can honestly answer once she does notice that you “have had that old thing forever,”

He also has the 3 price rule. 1. The price you paid for the item. 2. The price you tell your wife you paid for the item. 3. The price you are going to pay once your wife finds out the real price you paid.
