A lot of you know my middle child is a baseball player

Congratulations to your son for having the drive, fortitude, and passion to work hard and achieve this milestone. It's a great achievement and those qualities will serve him well on the team and later in life. Learning that hard work and an occasional setback are necessary to reach your goals in life is extremely valuable knowledge. In addition, his involvement based on hard work will make him a valuable member of his team. I have observed that my employees who played team sports as regular hard working kids are much better work team members than those who didn't play or those who were young superstars.

I would be remiss to not acknowledge the great parenting skills you have demonstrated instilling that work for success attitude and supporting him at every step of the way. You deserve a lot of the credit for establishing the foundation for his success.

Congratulations to you both.

Another young man we've watched, and will continue to, grow up...and another one who's parents have made sure they have the tools for it to happen....
Congratulations Eric not only to your Son but to you and your wife as well.....

Eric,
Congratulations to him and you/your wife! I encounter a lot of kids coming out of high school into my classroom who don't have that persistence/perseverance. They struggle a lot when things don't always bounce their way (or there isn't a reset/change game button). It sounds like you have done a great job preparing him for whatever path awaits him.

Eric,
Glad to hear that the hard work and perseverance paid off- it usually does. I know you and your wife must be proud. Please pass on my congratulations to the young man!

Eric, congratulations to your son and your family - success like this is a family event. Your son appreciates you now, but he won't really begin to understand your love for him until he is hauling his own kids around to chase their dreams years from now! Here's hoping for continued success for all of you. Best, Rufus

Awesome!! Congrats to your son!! I coached high school baseball for 18 seasons and have even won 4 state championships, but it is stories such as your sons which I most cherish.
