Well actually, it was only about 2 hours of the morning.
Just after taking a few shots of the moon, I noticed movement in the trees. Yep, I could see 5 turkeys roosted about 80 yards away. In a few more minutes they pitched down to the ground and were out of sight.
Then a group of deer made their way past me.
I heard the soft yelps before I could see them. First one, then two then more until finally there was a group of 7 were parading thru the timber.
I counted 7 total as they moseyed past me at between 8 and 15 yards away. The ones at 8 yards were getting a little nervous from the sounds coming from my camera. It was a great morning to be in the woods.
