A Tear Rolled Down My Cheek

Our season up here is all over. I just spent the last 14 hrs putting all the equipment back into storage. I had to rent a backhoe to clean out the inside of my truck. When I was finished I looked at the wall and a small tear rolled down my cheek and my lip quivered for a second. Time to start getting ready for next season.
Good luck to all you guys who's season is still open. I have one last hunt to look forward to. I will be leaving in the morning to hunt with Capt. Kraynik in sunny FLA.

I still need to store a bunch of my gear - after a long and very enjoyable season - but I had a different reaction to the end: I slept!!!!

All the best,

Clean up day at our house is known as "The saddest day of the year"

I haven't touched the truck, only the garage and it seemed to take all day. Couple that with a list of gear of repair or buy, and I have a few more weekends of work ahead of me. Then our February late goose season will start and the garage will go to hell again. It's a vicious circle...

What fun is having your decoys so well organized that they don't fall off the stack on the shelf when someone opens the garage door?
