A300 Cabela's Black Friday Sale

I have "only" the A-5 Magnum that is my go to duck gun. I hate to see how the salt is hurting her, but she is past the point where I won't eventually have her refinished, and maybe coated in some fashion.... not traditional, but she is my work horse and already sports a composite stock....

Then in today's mail is the Cabela's flyer.... the A300 in camo on sale for $750, and $650 for club members.... I have close to $300 in gift cards and points, so I could have a new A300 Ultima for about $400 out of pocket....

Having a spare duck gun for guests, and for the salt is looking rather tempting. Anyone out there want to dissuade me?

Just would propose a remington versamax instead is all..... lol. Cant beat the technology the marines have been using for the last 20 years or longer.

A300 are supposed to be pretty superb shotguns though.

I have an older A391 which is a target model I use for trap, but I believe it is the same action today. If so, it is nice shotgun and is reliable. I bought it about a year ago and really like it. It was in mint shape and I couldn't say no. It is easy to disassemble and clean and being a gas gun shoots a little softer than my Benelli Vinci, which is my duck gun. It will shoot quite a bit softer than your A-5, one of which I also shot for about 20 years.

There's just no way you can justify passing up such a great deal! Especially for a salt gun.
