A5...Filson... Canvasback

That takes me back to my first canvasback,
Belgian a5 ordered from the sears catalog and a canvas coat handed down from my grandfather.
I still miss those 2 3/4" xx magnums 4's.
I think it was 1974 right before they closed the season on the Mississippi flyway.

Very nice!

Picked up a Filson from a DB.N member this summer. Loving it! But no hunts pic like this... yet :-)

Good morning, Phil~

Trifecta! Very nice photos.

As another 2-3/4 inch, # 3 devotee, I was disappointed to see that my usual source for Fasteel no longer offers 2-3/4 inch shells.

We are closed for Duck right now - but Goose opens tomorrow. So, "normal"-size 2-3/4 inch BBs will be in the Model 12.

All the best,

SJS

Steve, Rogers has some big sales on shells now, have you looked there?
You must have a way to get them shipped to someone and pick them up, the way the NY laws are

Pretty awesome Phil. Doesn’t get much better than that. Pic below is from last day of the season last year on the Chesapeake. Love those old A5s and divers

Scott

Very Nice Scott!!

Sacrilege. Every expert knows geese can only be shot with 3.5" roman candles. Next you'll be duck hunting with a 20 ga.

Got Love the A-5,mine is a 1968 model purchased it in 1972 still use it on occasion.
Also purchased a jap barrel for it when steel came out.

Browning gold 10gauge or nothing. Lol

I’d rock a punt gun on the sea coasts bow if I could.

I still dream of a nice A5 magnum.... someday I guess
