adding longevity to you head patterns....

When you cut it out along the bird's outline, does the lamination still hold together well without being able to stick to itself? I like the patterns and may try that myself. Are you going to do the bodies too?

Wouldn't it bbe easier to scan them onto your computer and print them out. Then just glue them directly on the wood. No need to trace anything and no degradation to the pattern. Just a thought....

Great ideas guys. I use to do the laminating thing as well but have found something that works better for me. I use the clear carpet runner material from Menards. It is very flexible and easy to cut with a pair of scissors. I use the kind without the spikes on one side that grip the carpet. I sketch my pattern out the way I want it and lay this clear material over my sketch and trace onto the clear material. Cut it out and use that to trace onto my wood blank for the bandsaw. These take very little room to store and I would say the only thing I miss from what Ballard has is the color layout.
