Aeromarine 2 man getting some love.

Hey all,

It’s been a while since I’ve been enthusiastic about the upcoming season. I lost my leg 9 years ago so it slowed me down a little and I stopped hunting ducks as much as I used too. I covered the boats up and was about to sell them this year until a couple of my friends inspired me to keep them going. They know how much I enjoyed duck hunting, and were concerned I’d just give it up all together. Well, they put the wind back into my sails, and I uncovered the first boat. It’s an Aeromarine 2-man which I’ve owned well over 20 years. I use to hunt with a dog, but they have passed on (would love to get another CBR next season) and if anyone knows that watching a well trained dog working is as much joy and the hunt itslef.

I saw a few guys posting a lot of information about the history of this boat, which I did not know, thanks Anthony Babich, Steve Sanford and others for the history.

Here’s a photo of the uncovering. I did an inventory list of what I need to do and what I want to do before this season. The engine is getting professionally serviced, and I’ll be working on the trailer and boat. When I work I forget to take the before and after photos but I’ll try my best.

Wish me luck on this journey, I hope to stick around more, God willing.

Jack

Good to see you are still around and even better you are making plans for another season. Hopefully in a few months we'll see pictures of your boat with some birds on the deck.

Hey Jack! Welcome back and happy to see the determination!
My Aero-Marine is currently at Pencil Brook Farm in South Cambridge, NY where Steve Sanford has her on the operating table... looking forward to sharing more progress very soon!

Now I'm really jealous, who doesn't want a Steve Sanford touched duck boat! I may just send him mine when I finish it, before it even sees the water!
