Al Hansen, recognize this?

Hey, Steve, from the shape of that block of wood, I'm guessing that it is going to be painted in shades of red and grays. To me it looks like the beginning of a "Pyrrhuloxia, Cardinalis sinuatus".

True enough. Took the inspiration from a picture you posted on the site. I have kept that photo on my computer knowing I wanted to carve it someday.
 
I will look forward to this project, Steve. Now I am curious as to which picture it was. It has been a long while since I have seen a Pyrrhuloxia. Maybe 3 years or so, I'm guessing. I do know that the song of this bird is indistinguishable to that of the cardinal.
