Alaskan Black Friday Hunt 2011

Had a great solo shoot Friday. Shot my first limit of the season and didn't even need a buffie to round it out, lol!

Finished with 4 mallards and 3 pintails.

Before the internet police kick down my door, Alaska does not have any restrictions on the number of pintails you can shoot. I had a flock of them swing by and the snow squall was thick enough that I couldn't specifically pick out any drakes. Ended up dropping two of the three hens out of that flock.

Here's a short video I put together:

Is that the poly or glass marsh rat? I really like that boat and blind set up. Nice video, Bet you need to soak those egg eating mallards in teryaki for a day to get the salmon egg taste out of them. That my friend is what those marinade canisters that came with your vacuum packing machine are best for.

Thanks!

It's a fiberglass rat. I need to freshen up my grass on the hull and add some snow camo to break up the dark siloette as we move into the snow season.

I soak them in water then buttermilk and they taste great. The salmon have been gone for a couple months now.
