All drake limit

I had the good fortune to harvest an all drake green-winged teal limit over Thanksgiving in Nebraska and thought I'd share with the group. The entire state was frozen so I found a small open patch of water in the river and threw in a dozen decoys. I was expecting to see a few groups of mallards and was surprised with hundreds of green-winged teal. The entire hunt lasted about 10 min and was very memorable (and tasty)!

Cool,,,,,,,,,, I think they are a pretty bird. The first decoys I ever carved were Greenwings. (Had to carve one head three times before getting it even somewhat close to the shape it needed to be.)
Congrats on your hunt!

Thanks, Tim! It was a great hunt. I'll be teaching a section on the history and culture of waterfowl hunting at Kansas State next fall. I've been reviewing all of the videos on your website (Decoy Shed) for some of my course material. It is a great resource - thanks for keeping it up!

Very nice! What an amazing dead-mount that would make.
Its been years since I have killed a limit of teal and never all drakes.

Seeing all those greenwings had to put a smile on your face. Congratulations on that fine day, Adam.
