Alright bird gurus....ID HELP

you hadn't seen that one and its brothers and sisters?

Heck those are the NORTHERN BLACKS DUCKS.....main migration route north to south is right through your "duckinot line" of Migration observers.....since that one is in Florida I can't imagine how you, or your 24/7 wall of migration watchers, didn't see it as it waddled by......maybe look "down" next year?

Oh...and just because its "black" doesn't make it a "coot".....or a "scooter".....or even a "blade" for that matter.....

maybe you better grab a few feathers Dani and send them off to a lab for a bit of genetic work.....then it will be just a damn expensive black duck......
 
That'll give me something to go on. I figgered mallard crossed with something....though it does look an awful lot like the cayuga duck at first glace too....

but thanks again y'all now I can tell the guy who was asking that it's a mutt....
