Aluminum Utility Boat

Sea Dek is another option vs carpet. Easier to keep clean, doesnt absorb water the same as carpet. Ive been in an xpress bass boat that had sea dek and it was awesome. Expensive, but if I ever redo the carpet on my nitro bass boat, thats the route im going to go. Carpet is just so hard to keep clean, no matter how hard you try. You can power wash carpet over and over and always see some grime that comes out of it.

William,
Sea Dek is the exact product that I used on the sole of my poleboat. Very quiet and much warmer than bare wood or aluminum. The only downside is the expense. You are correct, there is no end to the sand that boat carpet can hold! RM

And a lot of my use is on salt water, so it's holding lots of salt, too.

My biggest issue with the manufacturer's floors is that they add almost 150 pounds to a hull with a dry weight of under 300. May need to look at Sea Dek.
