The ODCCA Board of Directors and Contest Chairmen wish to Thank everyone who participated in the 32nd Annual Show and Sale this past weekend.

If you mailed in entries, carried them up the steps to the various contest, had a table in the ballroom, a vintage room pool side, or just came to see what Westlake is all about, it's you, the attendees, that make the show what it is!

You make it all worth doing.

It was great to finally put faces with names. Yukon Mike, Dave Ski, Pete McMiller to name a few. Was nice to see guys we haven't seen in a while again. Like Mark and Slick. I hope you all had fun and made it home safe.

We'll be getting the show results on line ASAP. We are trying a new computer program, well, building it from the ground up and hope to get it all finished soon.

Thanks again and we hope to see you all again next year.

You get home and feel home sick.

We miss you guys already, Plans for next year started at about the Amherst exit.

I truly want to commend everyone who works their butts off planning the event (I think next years planning probably starts at 5:00 P.M. TONIGHT). You guys manage every year to eave us wanting more.

I don't really think thank you are strong enough words for the work your entire club does for every facet of the carving community. From collectors to carvers, novice to pro when you share a table (or bar stool) at Westlake it feels like home no matter where your from. That happens do to the foundation that you and all your members put forth.

Ladies and Gentlemen it was again a profound honor to share the weekend with you all.

(EVEN IF YOUNG MR. GARVEY DID KEEP MY DAUGHTER OUT AT THE ARCADE UNTIL 11:00 P.M.) I'm watching you young Henry.....I"M Watching You :-0

Duane it was a great weekend as always. You all do such an incredible job each year and like the Ballards we enjoy seeing so many people that are really true friends. It was great to put some faces to some names like Yukon Mike, Dave S. and Pete also. We had a blast. Brian as far as the late night out with young Mr Garvey I have to say that young Ms. Ballard is the older one and she should be tellign young Mr Garvey that it is time to quit for the night I would think. Mis guiding young men is not a good thing you know. ha ha ha ha ha ha How much is the dowry anyway? :)
Had a great time and I'll be talk to you all soon can't wait for next year. HHG

Great show as always!!! Thanks to the entire ODCCA team that works their tails off all year to make Westlake was it is!!

duane, make sure you all keep up the good work.
Brian, thanks for the loan of your padiwan--i am sure i have given him enough confusing data to make your life a mite odd for the next few grinding sessions---Great time, and my young jedi, Ski was enthralled by all of the stuff!!
Duane, get more folks involved with the chips or i swear we are going to make a dozen dekes next year!!!

Duane-

It was great to finally meet you and many others. Definitely one heck of a way to spend a weekend.

I'm with George. There will be twice as much dust coming from us next year so get some folks signed up for the chips next year!!

Thanks for the hard work from everyone at the ODCCA.

Duane and all that helped with the show,

Great job! My only complaint it there was too much going on all the time...couldn't possibly see it all. (that's not really a complaint, but sounded good) From someone who got up at 2 to get there, I was well worth it!

Thanks to everyone,

Chuck

That was the funnest time I've ever had in Cleveland! You guys really did good job of organizing and it really was amazing the volume of decoys and supplies in one place just for a couple of days. I saw more decoys in the first ten minutes walking around than in the last forty years.

I really appreciated the hospitality and loved visiting with so many others sharing my obsession.

On the flights home yesterday I was drawing out ideas on everything I could find. The inspiration I got from that show will last me a lifetime.

Mike

I have been to numerous hunting and decoy shows, and the West Lake Decoy show was by far the most fun and interesting show I ever attended/
Thank you to all the people responsible for such a great event.

p.s. Name tags would sure come in handy for IDing all the site members. Not everyone is as easy to identify as George!

Hank Garvey, nice meeting and sharing a few stories with you!

You too Yukon Mike! Mouse stories! ;-) HEHE! If I ever make it up your way...

Josh Ward, good to see you as always! Congrats on the ribbon(s). Remember, I AM too old to stay out til 5:00, YOU WILL BE someday. Enjoy it while you can...

David Clark, nice to see the fruits of your labor again. This time was a little special after seeing your photo essay earlier on this site.

Lou Tisch, Always good for a few laughs! I'll be talking to you dude!

Duane G, Good to see you as always. Great event as usual. Every year, seems you outdo the last. Thanks!

I know I left off a few names, for that I am truly sorry.

I wish I could have met a few others whom I know were there. I guess there is always next year.

I know a couple of guys who were there in spirit. May they rest in peace.

I had a terrific time. My wife came with me this year and even she had a great time. I know I caught up to her a few times, sitting by the fireplace making new friends. She even commented on making the trip again next year.

Duane,

Thanks for your help and thank everyone for me at the next meeting. I know I handled probably about 70% of the decoys at the show; what a special treat that was, and it was a pleasure to meet everyone there, so many duckboats guys, and many other new friends too. What a great time being around so many people who have so much in common, I'm still recovering.

Being there for the first time was quite the eye opener and it all makes sense now why all the talk about Westlake. To all that had a part in putting this years show together, you guys(and gals) did a hell of a job! It was great meeting all the folks and putting faces to the names that are so often seen on a computer screen. I hope you all had as good a time as we did! And Hitch, thanks for your camera skills & sign me up for 2009 disc will ya? Take Care all!
