I just got 5000 feet of whit para cord dropped in my lap. Prblem is its white. Has anybody got a good recipe for dying this stuff. I searched the web and found very little. I just wondered if anyone has a foolproof recipe. Bob.

We used to dye nets and other items by boiling black walnuts. That was several years ago and the nets have never needed touching up. Googling should have a recipe.

I've got some nylon rope that was dyed with Ritz years ago and it still looks good. You may have to mix colors to get what you want.
Worked for me, John

Bob we use to dye alot of net and sideline for commercial fishing and you can just buy the box dye whatever colour/color you like ,,,we used a 5 gallon pail,,,,we also use to stiffen and color soft laid line by dipping it in coal oil which gives you a nice dark shade but it does come off on your stuff once in awhile,,,,,Chuck

I color my white lines by believe it or not, placing them in old paintthinner that I cleaned my brushes with.
It soaks in good and lasts forever, it doesn't get stiff or come off on your hands either

I went the rit dye way, liquid form, added vinegar and set it in a big pot on the turkey fryer. Cooked it and stirred it about a half hour and then took it out and rinsed it. First batch came out good . second batch using same dye water came out a lot lighter.
