Had Dirk from Wisconsin out for a few quick shoots while he was in town. He was a great shot and even got a nice little bonus to take home.

Where are the birds banded?

on the leg.... :)
usually on the left side since that is the orientation preferred by most right handed assistants holding the bird for the bander....... but sometimes you'll find them on the right leg.

Congrats on a great trip Captain!

Thanks, Brian. That is interesting.
By the way, Mike, my coffee is tasting darn good, also!

Over the years the hot spot for banding has been Halifax, Nova Scotia. That's where most of the bands I've seen in my boat have come from.

Sure doesn't, Trip. When I read what Mike had to say in his Vietnam post it brought back memories of watching the "Bucket List" with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson.
