Another old decoy ID?

This decoy was given to me by my mothers elderly aunt along with an old 20 gauge Red Chieftan shotgun. Her husband was also a duck hunter. When he passed his kids sold most of his gear and collectibles except for some of the things that were very important to him. Years later my mother told her aunt I was a hunter and she wanted me to have a few of these things.

The unfortunate thing is that she cannot remember why these items were so important to him so it is a mystery to me.

I'm guessing this is a home made decoy. There is no name or markings anywhere on it. ive never seen one like it. Any input is appreciated.

you wish it could talk....maybe a dr golen eye with that circle on the cheeck, then repainted to a black duck...one will never know but all decoys are cool in there own way

My thoughts exactly Kevin. I wish some of these old decoys and boats could talk. Thanks for the response. I'm thinking this one will sit on the shelf remaining a mystery.
