Antique decoy valuation

Hi guys,

I'm transferring decoys that I own personally to my corporate self. I need to value them for Income tax purposes.

They are classic eider sea duck hunting decoys, all used. Steve S. had pictures of them up almost 2 weeks ago.

I have antique ones, circa 1900

I have a second bunch carved in 2003.

Got any ideas on price for valuation?

Anybody want to take a stab at a value for the actual duck tub?

Hi Philip,

My best advice would be to contact Gary Guyette of Guyette/Schmidt. Besides being one of the best decoy appraisers, he also wrote the book "Decoys of Maritime Canada"......he would be your best bet. If you find out, please let me know, I will have an idea about what my tub will be worth.
