Indeed it is St Michaels. A great town for your wife to enjoy shopping in as well. Be sure to see the Museum of the Chesapeake where you can see all sorts of historical waterfowling stuff, much of it on loan from Dr. Harry Walsh the author of "The Outlaw Gunner". You can see "punt guns", battery guns/boats etc. They even have bronze statues of the dog and bitch that parented the first Chesapeake Bay retreiver. Canton and Sailor were there names.

Also they have several sailing ships including a "Skipjack" and a "Bugeye" that plyed the waters of the Chesapeake for years and took part in the "Oyster Wars".

St Michaels is expensive but do get down to the "Inn at Perry Cabin" and have a drink at their bar on the lawn. The "Crab Claw" restaurant is a good place to eat. Used to be all sorts of goose guides in the area and pretty decent Canada Goose hunting.

Easton Md. isn't far so you could incorporate a visit during their waterfowl festival and expand a really good ,if expensive, time.
