Anyone ever see one of these 1950's sink box / boat?

I came across this odd saucer looking duck boat / sink box. It was listed as a 1950's little duck boat. Looks more like a flying saucer shaped sink box. Anyone know anything about this rig?
I don't know if it would be legal to hunt out of in NY.

John, I can't tell from the photo but if it is a floating device that conceals your body below the water level, it is illegal under Federal law.

Any pics of the bottom & side profile?
Looks like it would be aclose call with the "foot wells".
I would have a federal warden give an opinion.

These are the only photos I have of it. It looks like your body would be above water level but having the deep foot wells I think it is more of a sink box than a boat. Even if a federal warden gave the approval I think it would still be subject to conflict with the state and local guys.
I just posted it up here to see if anyone knows or has seen one before.
Looked interesting. Must have been been the brain child of a duck hunter that was abducted by aliens and returned back to earth to hunt with his new floating saucer. I notice there is no place for the decoys and guns. They must have used a tractor beam to pull in the birds.

That's a first for me. Looks likes one of the spinning cups at disney land. Interested to know about it's past. Looks hard to use. Where does the shooter go?

Legality wise.... I don't think it would be much differant than hunting from a float tube.
Looks pretty interesting.....

John,
a buddy of mine who knows I duck hunt sent me the link to that thing. I had a double take when I saw it. Sure dosnt look like 50's to me. And if it really is for duck hunting the saying applies....... we've come a long way baby.

Have you had your sneak boat out yet?

I e-mailed the guy with the duck saucer, no reply yet. He did have it listed as a 50's duck boat.
I have been taking a larger groups of guys out the past few days so I have been using my 228 Mako and hunting from blinds. I'll be heading out with the sneak boats tomorrow to do some gunning for myself instead of guiding.
