Anyone know about restorations by "Mason Decoy Factory"

Saw a decoy advertised for sale and was wondering if anyone can tell me more about this . . .
[*]What makes this bird unique is that it was restored by Mason's Decoy Factory ( 2nd Generation) and has painted tack eyes. [*]Decoy is ink stamped: RESTORED BY MASONS DECOY FACTORY STANDARD No. 2

Would this be an older restoration, by someone who worked at the factory or maybe the son or daughter of someone who worked for Mason?

Always wanting to learn more!

Thanks,
NR

Nick - Probably restored or repainted by Bob George of Michigan. Bob is a living descendent of the Mason family and still carves new and restores old Masons.

Bob George sounds like a piece of History.
Take care and God Bless

Pat,
That was my guess also. Bob was at the Westlake Show and is often at the Flats Show: www.scfwa.net
Interesting fella.

Bob George is the owner /operator/ salesman for the "Mason's Decoy Factory". The fee for refurbishing an old original [1st generation] Mason runs in the area of $300.00.
Bob is a living "piece of history" when it comes to Mason Decoys. I have known Bob for about 15 years and it's always a pleasure to talk decoys with him. If you want to know the "real facts" about Mason Decoys, then Bob is the man to talk to.
