I order a thermos from Basspro only to recieved it with a broken stopper. I "chatted" with a rep this morning only for her to say we produce it and they do not sell replacement parts! I doubt Basspro manufactures thier thermos bottles. Of course they'll replace it but they want ome to pay shipping. I think a stopper would be cheaper than the cost of me shipping it back!

Thanks,

It arrived broken and they want you to pay shipping? I have never heard of that. Thats pretty terrible service. I ordered an item from cabela's that wasn't right, called and they shipped a new one and told me to just keep the old one. Call and speak to a MGR there is no way any cost should be on you.

Matt,

I have to agree. Everytime I order from Cabelas they send a return shipping label. The instructions on the Basspro return form say in step 5 return via Fedex ground, UPS ground or USPS but DO NOT ship COD or exress service. Nowhere does it say return Pre-paid anywhere. There is a return address label with a barcode on it that you have to cut out and tape to the package. Maybe that barcode is a pre-paid shipper but the rep said nothing about it. I'll find out this afternoon.

Is it a Thermos/Nissan brand one?
They usually have a pretty good warranty.
I have a Nissan Stainless that is over 10 years old, will keep hot chocolate hot for 24 hours if I don't open it and drink it all!

Ed,
I suspect that this is indeed "prepaid".

Well that barcode was NOT a prepaid label. Yep, cost me $13.74 to return my broken thermos. To get it cost less than $9.00 and that was for two items. First was the less than enthusiastic customer service rep and then this. They got a less than stellar review of there process. We will see what the reply offers. The card was a birthday gift from my son. In the future I will let him know of all the other sites that dad buys from that offers online gift cards because quit frankly I feel Basspro has turned into the outdoor equivalent of Walmart based on the purchases over the past couple of years.

Now Ed, don't drag down Walmart. heehee

Your right Tom, that was rude of me. Walmart does it very effectively without my help! After all I've lost count of how many items I've left at the counter when the sale item on the end-cap comes up with the regular price at the register only to be told I must have picked it up from the wrong end-cap....lol Guess i need to go to bed and start over tomorrow.

Actually I have had a couple experiences with Cabellas too but they are only 7 miles down the road so I go right back to the return counter and talk to a live person. They have always made it right but some of the chinees junk is really shameful and I tell them that, hope the message makes it upstairs. Good luck

My only issue with Cabelas has been never purchase another firearm from them in Illinois. What a hassel! It doesn't have to be that hard!!

BPS update.

After another email from me reiterating my dissapointment late last night I received an email of apologies and that customer service did not handle the situation correctly by leaving the issue unresolved is issuing a full refund for the thermos and cost of shipping and placed a $10 credit in my account as an inconvience credit. They did not say in what form I'd be issued the refund. We will see.

You could always ask if you can get your refund in the form of a store credit with Walmart. BWAAAAAAAAA :>) :>)

Hey....now there's a thought! I really do need a new thermos. At least they sell Stanley and I can pick up some camo duck tape while I'm there!!
