[/img]Sorry for the ugly looking way I posted these I'm still trying to figure out this new photobucket thing. Apparently it linked to my old account and now have a bunch of old photos back.

Geoff~

Great birds! I really like the neck-to-shoulder transition. And, the tumblehome in the body shape recalls WWI battleships to my eye.

All the best,

SJS

Turning a previously gutted and "ducked" 79 lund Mr Pike 18 I did a few years ago into a tiller. Just finished patching the Bedliner where the box seat I had before for the console was. Loving all the new room without a console or box seat where that was.

Clearly I still have a lot of work to do with re routing the wiring. Yuck.

Just wanted to give a shout out to everyone that posts their amazing work on the monthly threads. I look at the "workbench" thread daily and really appreciate the talent and commitment that all of you share. Thanks for giving us a quick look at what you should be so very proud of!

Here's a Ruddy I whipped up today. I'm going carve out and define the side pockets and shoulders more tomorrow.

The talent pool is over flowing this month. Amazing work from everyone! I sealed this bird using the priming schedule Mr. Sanford uses. (Thank you, Mr. Sanford) The process definitely made the painting surface easier to work on compared to what I was doing before.
This hen is the mate to my drake I made last month, and also is the 50th bird I have carved. Feels like a milestone of some sort. It makes me smile when I look at my first birds, and see how much I have learned over the last couple of years, and it is LOL funny to me that I thought those first birds were the best thing since the invention of the wheel. I hope to learn as much on my next 50 decoys as I did on the first. Jeff

Jeff, great progress. Your teal look very nice!

Turkey Season is here and got these calls off the bench just in time........!

Jeffery, those teal are real nice and love the head poses on them!

Jode, I don't know the first thing about turkey hunting or calls but those sure look like nice tools.

Wow Jode those are nice. What are the flowers and or blooms?
Jeff, Nice teal. Your lucky you still have your first decoy. So you can see the progression of your carving and painting. I'd have to go back into the photo album find it. Hold on to it.
