Aqua Pod dodger

Looking for ideas and help in creating a dodger type of cover for my Aqua Pod. I am looking to fabricate something that will cover my head and from the back. Most of my hunting is in the open marsh and want to provide cover as ducks come from behind. Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Scale down a spray dodger like a sneakbox would utilize using canvas, snaps, pvc conduit and a heat gun to hold its half hoop shape. Using Bimini top hardware and swivels like a layout boat...

Good morning, Tom~

In any boats where I lay down on my back to shoot, I put a low "cowling". Some are fixed, other can be raised and lowered. They make a tremendous difference in both hide and warmth (in a cold wind).

Here is one I made for a Sunfish conversion a few years ago. http://stevenjaysanford.com/gilgo-gunboat-sunfish-conversion-to-layout-boat/

The frame (bow) is conduit - and I sew the canvas on a home machine.

I just used screws and finishing washers to attach it to the coaming.

A short strut holds it up for gunning.

It folds down inside the coaming.

Hope this helps!
