Aquapod and an engine

Do any of you run a motor on your aquapod?
Any input or suggestions would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

I tried to run a 2hp on a 10' pod, It didn't work so well. If you search "building a transom for my aquapod" you'll find some pictures of what I came up with. My weight and the weight of the motor was to much. Maybe a 12' pod would have worked better.
 
I run my 10 pod with an electric motor on home made bracket that is removable with two wing nuts. it runs ok with dog decoys and me. I use it for hunting in backwater ponds also do some fishing out of it.

Just a go a 10 aquapod and would like to pick you brain from your experience.
What size engine and battery do you use?
 
I have Ed's old aqua pod, I took the mount off. I like the boat because it is light enough for me to carry it easily, launch where ever I want, and easy to paddle. I found no use for and electric motor and battery or my little 1.5 hp motor. That is just more stuff to carry. Get a good 9' long paddle with big blades and those boats paddle no problem.
