we have some spaces available --leave july 25, arrive july 26, gun from the 27th until august 1--leave arg aug 2, return to states aug 3--
Hitch, anyone who went last year interested, let me know! Peso/dollar ratio is as good as i can remember---good time and fellowship , for sure--Spanish helpful, but we can get by on my pidgen!

Hi George,

Of course I'd like to go back and I'm sure Woody would also. Unfortunately unless we win the lottery it's not going to happen this year.

Good Luck,

I second that reply, what a trip! Just missed that lottery jackpot and can't do it this year. Thanks for the thought. I don't think a day has gone by without remembering something about that trip.

Maybe George, too early to know yet though what's gonna be up in July.

Hitch, give a holler if you plan on making the viaje---we do this early just to get reservations for the plane arranged! we would be glad to have you--least we can use the dekes!!!

chris, including flight, licence, shells, transport, guides, etc, about 4 k, and that is a high estimate--Hitch, is that close?
This July will be my sixth trip there---good host, great time, and where else can you go and eat half of an argentine steer?

$4K is about right. Then again we only went through about 18 boxes of shells @ $14/box so if the gunning is really good you could end up spending more.

Sweet !

Wish I could afford it financially and physically. I really want to hunt south of the border at least once before I head to that big marsh in the sky.

Ya'll have a great time and post a bunch of pics.

George,

We rented guns when we were there ($35/day) and they supplied all ammo. #5 lead for ducks and #7 lead for pigeon and perdiz. This isn't an area of really high volume dove shooting that you see sometimes on TV. I'm not sure about importing guns but do know there is a cost for the permit. If I ever go again I will bring my own guns.

Everything else to hunt with like waders we brought with us. Because it is an international venue we were allowed two bags per person.

Right on the doves, which are a ton more abundant toward cordoba--i think perhaps the ag strike contributed to the shortage of doves this past year---we have had some really good afternoon shoots for dove and pigeon combined.
With the exchange rate now, it might be good to bring your own escopeta---the duty will not be so high. If you bring your own, make sure you have the us customs declaration---if you have gone into canada, you should already have one for your shotgun--
Waders, waterproof gunning coat, some warm stuff, after all,it is winter down there.
