Arkansas Hunt and tried new shells

We had a good time while I was home in Arkansas. See the picture of my son holding his limit of mallards, plus more ducks from the group. (not the best pictures from my phone)

Also, I wanted to share with you guys some new shells I purchased and really liked them. I found this website and took a chance on these shells. They hit ducks like a hammer. They are as good as if not better than HEVI Shot. AL is pictured in front of his building and he is the person that hand loads every shell. Here is his website link. http://www.sportingammo.com

Hi Greg. I am interested in learning more about these shells you used. I looked on that web site and didn't see any prices. Do you mind me asking which load you used and how much they cost? I am also interested in your opinions on the recoil generated by these shells? I've shot 1 1/4 oz Hyper velocity and they pushed the trigger guard of my Citori back into my second finger so hard, its still hurts. I am curious about the 1 and 1/8 oz load of #4 steel...

Al makes some nice ammo and when we were wholesaling supplies, he bought from us as an RSI Steel Component Dealer.
I still have a bunch of ammo that Al loaded and love it. I used a bunch of his duplex loads (BBx4)(BBx2) on Eider out in Nantucket Sound, MA.

Hi Bob,
I pretty much blew everything out the door years ago but I know I have a few bags of ... something around. I found a bag here at the shop and will have to measure and see what they fit. I'll check that and see what I have in the model barn and get back to you.

Sporting Ammo custom loads are simply AWESOME!! I ordered a case of 10 gauge #3's as I couldn't find any #3's anywhere else and heard Sporting Ammo was great. They simply hammer the ducks. I got them strictly for the fact I love to shoot my SP-10 more than any other shotgun I have shot. No recoil at all using this setup.

Bob,
I found a couple bags of SAM I wads that are 2.75". I don't have SAM II if that's what you want.
