Hi guys! and specifically to my old buddy Eric! It has been a very long time. I don't know where the time went but it has been quite a while since I've had the pleasure of hanging out here. Was bumping around the internet when a thought prompted another thought and next thing ya know I'm walkin through the door of the duckboats.net. Probably many of you don't know who this old geezer is but me and Eric go way back, almost to the beginning of the site ( I got some stories to tell ya) Anyway think I'll pull my rig into the dock, tie off and jump into a B.S. session or two. Got a few tales to tell and a few lies to swap and see how many of my old buds are still around. If I can remember how to post a pic we'll take a brief trip down memory lane! More to come, -MLB Tom

So glad to see you here! Last I spoke to Mark sounds like you guys found a little duck paradise in Canada. Now tell us some tales!

> Eric, Well hello my old friend! How have you been? It has been way too long! I have been great and enjoying retirement! Don't hunt as hard and as much as I used to but still like getting out. I often think of the pool nine trip and smile! That was a lot of fun. If I can figure out how to post a pic I have a few pics for you and Steve to see. As far as tales, I've been writing quite a bit the last few years and am trying to finish my work so I can publish a book. It's mostly hunting stories with a few about life and other drivel. Do you guys have a venue here to put a few up? I'd like your feedback on them. Life is good and all is well at the Reder homestead how bout you? That boy has gotta be pretty much grown up by now! How old are the kids now?

Life's going good. That Pool 9 trip was one of the best trips, hunting or otherwise, I ever went on. Oh my gosh we all laughed so much. I've tried retelling some of the old guide stories (wasn't his name Tom Reed?) but could never pull it off quite like you guys did. DYFWM!! Haha.

My kids are 19, 16, and 11. Thomas, seen below, is a serious water fowler. He regularly outshoots me these days and has all the energy a healthy teenage boy should. I got a kick going hunting with him yesterday. Some of the Seniors on the baseball team were txting him asking to go hunting with him. He's a sophomore and has the reputation of knowing the lake and where to find ducks. He's a student of the river and is now interested in taking photos of the days kill.

When you publish that book I want a signed copy. Post some samples here on the forum if you feel like it.

Correct answer, (although seriously edited for "family viewers"), I hereby certify that the real Tom Reder has returned.

OMG! Your oldest is 19! Man, how the time flies! That is very cool your middle is a dyed in the wooler hunter! My oldest Tommy was. He hunted frequently with Dave Hussey and I. One time Dave came to the house at 2am to meet up for a hunt, I was carrying gear out and Tommy was sitting on the deeks outside. Dave walked up and said, Tommy what are you doing out here in the dark? Tommy said, I love being out here in the middle of the night! it's cool! He was right! Do you remember Hussey? When he passed out on the couch we tried to carry it out on the porch! Wouldn't fit through the slider! LOL The guy that really latched on to Reed was Sutton! He told us he couldn't stop talking like that and had a sore throat for a month! I'll post up a story tonight and see what kind of response I get. BTW, how do you achieve your pictures being so large at such a small file size? Need to talk on the phone soon, a lotta catching up to do!

I do remember Dave Hussey. Super nice fella. I don't know how my pictures are of reasonable size in pixels but small in bytes. I guess they come off the camera that way. I frequently resize them with Paint Shop Pro and it probably chooses an efficient way to compress without too much loss of resolution.
