ASAT for duck hunting

I know a lot of the bowhunting crowd is into Predator, ASAT and some of the less waterfowl focused camo patterns. Anyone here use them for ducks/geese?

I know you don't need to be quite so cautious with ducks as you do for bowhunting big game, but heck, why not be as hidden as you can...

These people just disappear. It seems to work almost as well as one of the military style ghillie suits, but a lot less bulky.

With all the effort people put into camoflaging boats, one of these leafy suits would seem like a next logical step. A guy (or gal) in a leafy suit in a sneakboat covered in grass, or standing in the cattails would be really hard to see...

Not that I have anything against the piles of various camo I already have, but I have to say, one of these "oversuits" is starting to look pretty versatile.

I've always been of the opinion that sitting still and covering your face was much more important than sporting the latest camo pattern, especially when duck hunting on the water. Goose hunting in a field may be a different story.

Just my 2 cents.

With one of those suits on you may lose yourself---just kidding of course. I think the retailors are selling a product and make too much out of it. Staying motionless with something on your face is sometimes all you need. When red was the color to hunt deer I've walked right up to doe. Of course for ducks you do have to blend in as they have the altitude advantage. There will be many comments on this phase of hunting I'm sure.

Just for the record ASAT is not new - it's been around since 1986. Not a new fad or like the other mainstream patterns that come out with a new flavor every season.

hey charlie how about me and you put some money together and make a eastern cedar green camo for those bay boys with the cedar mansions on stilts out on champlain.

had a couple friends come up to the farm to cut cedars for their blinds. i thought maybe two trees would be good.......5 full cedar trees later and they had the first of two loads. a guy i work with is coming youth weekend to cut cedars for a 24' x 12' or so blind. i put mine out monday so i hope i still have some trees left to cover mine.

we'll make a bunch of that cedar camo in jackets, hats and pants then sell the company for millions to someone and let them deal with the stuff afterwards. then we can spend the money on a private duck marsh on the coast to hunt divers.

Sounds like a plan. I could go for a few million dollars and an early retirement so I can hunt around the world in all my free time.
