I've got what I've been told is an author Armstrong broadbill duck boat. I'm trying to find more information about it cause I'm going through neck surgery an don't have time to hunt anymore and I'm looking at selling it. any help would be much appreciated it's been in the family for about 11 years now just trying to find information about it was manufactured in gainsville fl thanks everyone

Some where made in Kentucky an other states because the company was bought an sold so many times. I've been told so far it could be one of the original ones made in the 70s

I have an 80's vintage Broadbill by Arthur Armstrong, mine was made in Kernersville, NC.
I have copies of the original brochure which list 3 models of available boats, the Broadbill, the Wigeon, and the Sneaker. They also sold boat plans, gun cabinets, decorative and gunning decoys, log cabins and slat goose mailboxes.
The published original specs for the Broadbill are listed as
Bottom Style - Vee
Max HP Capacity - 20 HP (the plate on my boat says 25 though)
Net Hull Weight - 265lbs
Centerline Length - 14'2"
Beam - 62"
Measured Speed
Engine - Merc 18m
Gross Load - 610lbs
29.7 MPH @ 5200 RPM
Gross Load - 840lbs
27.1 MPH @ 5100 RPM

Hope thats helpful....
Take Care

These were built in NC then KY and now Ohio. with slight changes along the way. If I can be of any help feel free to call or email. Tony
